“Shuvah Yisrael is a beautiful community. Since discovering Shuvah a few years ago, I have learned Hebrew, studied Torah more deeply, taken a great liking to the Mussar practice, and come to love many kindred spirits. I am blessed to know I have a family here. Come visit us, we have very adorable children and all sorts of fun grown ups too. :)”

“The people at Shuvah are welcoming and accepting of each person who walks through the door. There is no judgment only love and grace. We learn together to apply what Yeshua teaches in an earthy, hands on, real life practice. For example – helping those in need, visiting our friends in the hospital and praying together in the waiting rooms, singing at the bedside to those who are about to pass from this life to the next, giving one another rides to where they need to be, bringing food to those recovering from hospital visits, finding jobs for those in need, listening, caring, and loving, the list goes on. An ethereal illusive state of “heaven” or well-being is not taught here. We learn to love and live like Yeshua even in our imperfect state. We are learning and practicing tikkun olam here, it is beautiful and life changing.”

“Since coming to Shuvah I have learned so much in such a little time. Studying Torah has given me greater insight into what Yeshua said and taught that I really never knew or understood before. Each time I open the Torah and listen to the sermons on Shabbat, I am truly blessed. I also love this community, fellowship and working with the children in the nursery which gives me so much joy and happiness. Baruch Hashem.”

Shuvah Yisrael is more than a place of worship it is also a place of loving community. I love that Shuvah accepts people just as they are much like Yeshua. I love that it’s full of real, beautiful people that have grown into family, people who have helped me to become a better person with loving honesty. It’s a safe place to discuss hard topics such as “Where is this loving G-d in this hateful world?” and the like. Shuvah has made my relationship stronger with G-d and strengthened my faith. I love how this community is dedicated to this world and do not only discuss hard topics but find solutions that are brought about into reality. We dream together and try our best to make a small part of our world a better place. Shuvah Yisrael is committed to G-d and to each other.

“I am a Jewish woman who believes that Yeshua is the Messiah and I feel that I have a specific calling to be here and to raise my children as Messianic Jews. And I just thank G-d that I have an opportunity to worship, as I believe.”

“When my husband, a Jewish man, and I, a gentile, became engaged 17 years ago we knew it would be important to choose how our family would worship. Messianic Judaism has been the perfect choice for us. Our daughter Celina is able to worship Yeshua as her messiah and be enriched by her Jewish heritage. Shuvah Yisrael is our family and we’re proud to call it our spiritual home.”

“Shuvah Yisrael is my mishpucha, my family. I was raised in this Synagogue where I received my Jewish education in Hebrew school and through my experiences in our observant community. What’s more I met some of my best friends and grew up beside them. Now that I am myself a mother, I am a member of Shuvah Yisrael and a regular attendee with my daughter in tow. My desire is to bring her up in the loving community that I have been so blessed to be a part of. Already I can see her joy in listening to the music and interacting with everyone on Shabbat and at events. It is a beautiful thing to witness.”

“It is so important for our children and grandchildren to experience the sacredness and richness of our Jewish heritage.  I bring my grandson each week, knowing that what he what he is learning at Shuvah will stay with him as an adult, and that he can pass down to future generations.”

“I am a gentile and a Christian.  In order to better understand Jesus’ words in context, I welcomed the opportunity to grow and learn under Shuvah’s excellent teachers. I have even begun to learn Hebrew!”

“I grew up attending church with my mom and decided that it wasn’t the right place for me so I started following my family’s original religion, Judaism.”

“For 32 years we belonged to a church that emphasized the Jewish Holy Days but something was missing. Then a friend told  us about Shuvah Yisrael. Now we can attend synagogue that has a full Torah service and practice Judaism with other Jews who believe in Yeshua. Our Judaism and faith in Yeshua have come together in a meaningful way, and we have never been happier. On top of this the people are really friendly. What a bonus!”

“Shuvah is a community of people who reach out to one another to help & share in times of celebration, hardship, loneliness, and sorrow.  At times people need to be comforted, hugged, or simply receive a word of encouragement, or to share a meal.  This is a community that expresses its love inside and outside the four walls of our sanctuary. At Shuvah I am free to be the Jewish person God intended me to be – to experience the Jewish flavors, music, worship, and way of life.  It is refreshing to be part of a community that encourages us to practice TORAH lifestyle.”

“On our way home from one of our rare nights out, my then pregnant wife and I decided to stop by what appeared to be a small café. The lights were on but the door was locked, we were about to walk back to our car when Rabbi Paul Saal came to the door and invited us in. After explaining that we had actually stumbled upon a Messianic Synagogue he gave us a quick tour. It was close to a year later, after the birth of our son, that we left the kids with relatives and attended our first service.  We returned the next week, kids in tow, and have been attending ever since.

I don’t think there is any way I can describe in words, and do it proper justice, how open and welcoming the congregation was, a congregation we are now pleased to count ourselves among.

This congregation truly is a community with members who care for one another and continually reach out to help those in need.

Shuvah is the perfect fit for our family.  Having an interfaith marriage, Christian and Jewish, being part of a Messianic Synagogue is very important to us.  Our children are growing up in a Jewish community that believes in Yeshuah.  It is my belief that our congregation brings out the best from both faiths.”

“Shuvah is one of those rare synagogues where you can walk in the door for the first time and feel like you’re at home. It is a place where you can learn about Judaism, grow in your knowledge of Torah, Y’shuah our Messiah, and have fun! Shuvah Yisrael provides a unique environment where Jews and non Jews can worship together and each gain a greater insight into G-ds perfect plan. I also love the way the worship music flows throughout the service.  Contemporary choruses mix with traditional prayers to draw you into G-d’s presence.”
