About Shuvah Yisrael

You may be wondering about Shuvah Yisrael and who we are!

Our name Shuvah Yisrael captures both the purpose and essence of this congregation. It comes from the Hebrew Scriptures (Hosea 14:2) and it means “Return Israel!” It is both an invitation and a command from God to His people, encouraging them to return to covenant faithfulness – to love and worship Him, and to exhibit care and concern and support for each other and also to a world that desperately needs God’s love.

Having served the synagogue over the past two decades, I feel very privileged to be part of a community of such love, commitment, intelligence and good will. Shuvah Yisrael has been a member in good standing of the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations since 1994 and has been one of the most innovative communities in the Messianic Jewish movement.
